Structured Media Center, Series 280 Enclosure and Flush-mount Cover.  Positive stops on housing side walls prevent enclosure from falling through studs during installation.  One piece white steel unit holds full and half width expansion modules.  Mounting guides on cover align screw-holes and reduce the chances of dropping during attachment.  Powder-coated white cover features a 3/4 Inch overlap to hide irregular drywall cuts.  Multiple knock-outs on top and bottom including two new 2 Inch knock-outs on top, facilitate cable entry and routing.  Cut-out in base of enclosure for mounting single gang J-Box kit.  Six 3 Inch square self-healing foam grommets accommodate cable bundles.

  • Mounting slots on the enclosure simplify adjustment for different Sheetrock depths

  • Lance slots provide clean cable management within the enclosure

  • Flush-mount cover overlaps 3/4” to hide possible uneven drywall cuts around the SMC
  • Ships with a cardboard insert to help prevent drywall debris or paint over-spray from entering the SMC during the rough-in stage of installation
  • Mounting hook on the cover aligns screw holes for easier installation
  • Multiple knockouts on the top and bottom support conduit upto 2“ in diameter and facilitate cable routing and entry
