Preparing For The Next Generation WIFI

Installing and using WIFI networks in a business has always been a tricky endeavor. It seems just when you think the WIFI technology and standards have matured, something new pops up on the horizon to consider. In the early years of 802.11, it seemed like a new version was introduced almost every year. In some cases spacing and density of access points was different based on which version was going to be deployed. 2.4 gig wireless has less channels and a little better penetration of walls than 5 gig wireless. Newer products sometimes have several different radio frequencies built in sometimes not. How do you figure it out so you donít have to rip out what you spent a lot of time designing and installing?
