28 AWG Patch Cabling: Yes or No?

I a recent Belden blog posting from Ron Tellas  the plusses and minuses for small OD patch cords are discussed.  This discussion may help determine if this type solution is a good fit for you: As information demands increase, data centers are becoming more congested with more active equipment and cable. Because of their smaller diameter, patch cords with 28 AWG conductors have become widely used in data center applications. But these patch cords offer another use as well: in enterprise networks.
